Fred Sweeney

I was privileged to be the HCDSB Director of Education from 1994 – 2001.

In 2014, I heard that the HCCF was looking for members to sit on the Board of Directors. I immediately knew that I wanted to be part of this Board. My six years on the Board were very gratifying as we grew the Foundation to what it is today.

I am very passionate about the work of the Halton Catholic Children’s Foundation. It hurts me to even think that a child would go home after school and wondering what there would be for dinner, or if there would even be any dinner at all. This thought was why I joined the Board of Directors and why I continue to support the Foundation.
